Additional Initiatives Supporting Students of Fire

National Center for Landscape Fire Analysis LinkTree - This repository was created for students at the UM Fire Club but has applicable links for students across the U.S.

Student Association for Fire Ecology - Their purpose is to provide students from diverse backgrounds with an open forum on fire ecology through which research can be shared, networks formed and funding and information resources accessed.

FireGeneration Collaborative - They aim to reimagine and transform fire culture, community governance access, and equitable solutions by centering Indigenous leadership and diverse young generations.

​

Student of Fire Initiative - They aim to shape the future of wildland fire training by blending science, personalized learning, and rigorous evaluation to build an adaptable and skilled lifelong fire learners.

​

Tall Timbers Prescribed Fire Training Academy - Their courses were designed through consultation with over a dozen prescribed fire and fire ecology experts and is based loosely on the "Guidebook for Prescribed Burning in the Southern Region", though the lessons are applicable regardless of where you are located. 

​

Student Conservation Association Wildland Fire Academy - Their academy is an intense fuels reduction training program designed to introduce program participants to fire and fuels reduction careers with the U.S. Forest Service.

Association for Fire Ecology Mentoring Futures Program - Their program actively cultivates the future of wildland fire and resource conservation by investing in future leaders.
